High school students at MOC-Floyd Valley continue to grow in their understanding of core academic content in preparation for their future. But within the requirements to earn a diploma, students have the freedom to construct an academic program that focuses on their unique abilities and interests. Students learn through experiences both inside and outside the classroom, and work with counselors to develop tailored programs for educational and career opportunities. Part of this experience is a full range of extra-curricular activities that build on the middle school experiences or offer new opportunities. These include athletics, the arts, band, speech, FFA, and National Honor Society.<\/p><\/div>

At the MOC-Floyd Valley Middle School, caring faculty teams and an emphasis on self-discovery help students understand and adapt to the unique physical and emotional challenges they face on a daily basis. While continuing to build on the strong academic foundation begun at the elementary level, the middle school encourages students to discover new talents and interest areas. Eighteen different cultural and career-focused programs, such as the fine arts, literature, and technology complement the fourteen co-curricular activities, including athletics, orchestra, chorus, and My Choice. And all students participate in the STAR advisory program to help build self-esteem and develop healthy relationships.<\/p><\/div>

Here at MOC-Floyd Valley Elementary we serve over six hundred and seventy students and their families in a state-of-the-art facility. We work closely with our parents to establish positive relationships between school and home, as we recognize that parents are always the child\u2019s first teacher. We are able to meet the diverse needs of all our learners because we have a dedicated teaching staff that works hard to meet every child\u2019s academic, social and emotional needs. Our teaching staff is comprised of experienced, creative, and devoted teachers who work collaboratively with our dedicated support staff to create a safe and caring learning environment for all students. We constantly strive to enhance student\u2019s learning via our technology which includes one on one devices for grades K-5 and interactive screens in every classroom. With our outstanding staff, an emphasis on technology and our outstanding facilities we are able to create a learning experience that is well known for its excellence.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>
