My name is Mrs. Aalbers. I grew up in Orange City and attended Orange City Elementary as a child. I graduated from Northwestern College in 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education and minors in coaching and reading. I received my Masters of Education from Morningside in 2012. I currently live in Alton with my husband Brent, and three sons: Ryder, Wyatt, and Jarrett.

Graduate of MOC-Floyd Valley and Northwestern College. I also have a Master’s degree in Education from Southwest Minnesota State University. I love teaching 4th graders and coaching at MOC-Floyd Valley! Outside of school I enjoy hunting and fishing, boating, watching movies, and spending time watching my kids in their activities. I am married to Lindsay and we have 4 kids–Jenna, Carter, Blake and Jordyn. GO DUTCH!!

This is my 30th year of teaching in the MOC-Floyd Valley Community School District. My husband is Kent, and he serves as the Finance Officer for the City of Orange City. We have two daughters, Autumn and Lydia. When I am not teaching, I enjoy attending our daughter’s activities, playing the piano, reading, and playing games with my precious family!

My name is Mrs. Bauman. I graduated with a BA in physical education and health from Northwestern college. I love teaching students how to be life long movers and enjoy coaching at MOC-FV. Outside of school I enjoy kayaking, hiking, camping, and most of all spending time with family and friends.

My husband James and I live in Hospers, Iowa.

Hi, I’m Mrs. Boersma! I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education, with endorsements in reading, technology, and coaching from Dakota State University in 2015. I am originally from Mitchell, SD, but moved to the area when my husband, Kyle, and I got married. This will be my 8th year teaching. I have one son and a daughter due in October. We enjoy attending sporting events, being outside, and spending time with family and friends!

I graduated from Northwestern college in 2012 and also began coaching at MOC-FV the same year. I am married to Justin Boersma and we have three sons Juddson, Kolton, and Brayton. We live on a farm outside of Hospers. I love being involved in our volleyball programs in and out of season and spending time with my family.

Jack Bonnecroy graduated from Northwestern College in 2012 with a degree in Computer Information Systems. After having previously worked at MOC-Floyd Valley in the technology department, he’s returned as the Communications Director. Outside of work, you can find him helping with the Pride of the Dutchmen Marching Band, crewing for the local hot air balloon, or helping out on the family farm.

I graduated from Dordt College with an Associate of Arts Degree in Special Education and have worked with special needs individuals since 2005. I am currently taking classes through Western Governors University and am working towards teacher licensure in mild to moderate special education. I have been at MOC-FV High School since fall of 2015. I grew up in Sioux Center but now live in Orange City with my husband, Adam, who is the Industrial Tech teacher, our two kids, James & Emma, and our dog, Jasmine. I enjoy spending time outdoors gardening, camping, and hiking.

I graduated from Briar Cliff University with a degree in elementary education along with endorsements in special education and reading. I earned a masters degree in Differentiated Instruction from Graceland University. My husband Nic and I have three children and are proud supporters of MOC-FV.

I received a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern College with early childhood, reading, and coaching endorsements. I also completed my master’s degree in early childhood through the University of South Dakota. My husband, Daron, is a chiropractor in Orange City and we have a son, Aden, and a daughter, Ava. Outside of school I enjoy cooking, baking, traveling, photography, shopping, music, and spending time with family and friends.

I graduated from Northwestern College in 2005 with my degree in Elementary Education and a Reading Endorsement. I have taught 3rd grade and Title Reading before becoming the 5th grade reading and writing teacher here at the elementary school. I live in Orange City with my wife, Megan, and four kids. I enjoy riding motorcycle, working with my hands, being active with the family, reading a good book, and working at my church.

I graduated from Northwestern College with majors in Elementary Education and Religions, a minor in Spanish, a career concentration in Missions, and endorsements in Reading and Driver’s Education. I have been married to Jed for almost 40 years and we have two sons. Peter and Megan live in Orange City with their four children, and Ben and Lindsey live in Alton with five sons. My favorite hobbies are reading and swimming.

I am married to Corey and we live on a farm near Hospers. We have one grown daughter, Danielle. In my spare time I like to read, spend time with family, do DIY projects, and garden. When the weather is nice, I spend as much time as possible outdoors. 

I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education, with an endorsement in early childhood. My master’s degree is in K-12 School Counseling. I received both degrees from the University of South Dakota. I have 15 years of teaching experience as a Resource Room teacher. I am excited that the fall of 2020 will be my first year being part of the MOC-FV team!

I graduated from Northwestern College with a degree in Elementary Education, as well as a reading endorsement and a middle school endorsement. My husband and I have five children (Orin, Kiptyn, Piper, Bowen, and Monroe), and we live in Orange City. I love to read, play board games, watch St. Louis Cardinals baseball, be outside, and spend time with my family.

After graduating from MOC-FV High School, I spent some time overseas and studying in Illinois, and then finished my degree at Northwestern College, where I majored in Elementary Education with a Special Education endorsement. I’m married to Michael and we have one middle school son, Noah. I love cooking, the Cubs, spending time with my family, watching Noah in his activities, and playing board games. I am so glad to be a part of the MOC-FV family!

I earned my Bachelor of Music degree at Iowa State University and my Master of Music degree from the University of South Dakota. I have been teaching music for more than 3 decades!

I have five married children, four grandchildren and two Cocker Spaniels, Red & Gina. Besides singing and playing games with kids, I love to sew and spend time with family.

I graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA with a Instrumental and Vocal Music Education Degree. I previously taught K-8 and then 5-8 General Music, Band and Choir at the Hull Christian School in Hull, IA. I have been teaching part time 5th grade instrumental music at MOC Floyd Valley CSD since the fall of 1992. I am married and have 3 adult children.

Hi! I am Renee Guthmiller. I have been teaching for 35 years. I have 10 years with 5th and 6th grade and 25 with 2nd grade. I hope to be in 2nd grade for awhile still! I am a graduate of Northwestern College. I cheer on the Dutch, the Raiders, and the Vikings!

I teach 3rd grade at the elementary school. I am married to Grant who teaches at the high school and coaches football. We have three kids and enjoy spending time with them. I love to read, garden, and cheer on the Dutch athletics.

I was born and raised in Eastern Iowa near the Mississippi river. I attended and received my degree from the University of Dubuque. My husband, Eric, and I live in Alton with our 4 children- Makenna, Kolten, Cooper, and Landyn. We enjoy spending time outdoors, attending sporting events, and being with our extended families.

After growing up in Nebraska, I graduated from Northwestern College in 2013 with a degree in both Elementary Education and Music. I met Matt singing in choir at NWC, and we both feel blessed to be living, teaching, and raising our two kids, Iris and Asa, in Orange City. When not at school, you might find me singing at church, walking around town, or cheering on our marching and jazz bands!

After nearly 25 years as a para for MOC-Floyd Valley, I’ve decided to try a new venture. I am working in the food service department at the elementary school. I enjoy still being able to see all the kids and staff every day!

My husband Jim and I live in Hospers. We have 3 grown (married) kids, and have been blessed with 11 grandchildren. We enjoy going to all of the grand kids’ activities and traveling to visit our military family, wherever they are stationed.? We enjoy the outdoors and riding around town on our golf cart. (I know, we’re getting old.)

I’ve been married to Keith, my best friend, for 5 years. Together, we have 5 children (Kolby, Kenadi, Kooper, Kipp, Kasee) a daughter-in-law (Brooke), and 2 grandchildren (Rheya and Roman). I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and earned my Master’s through Graceland University. My teaching career started in special education in Chariton, IA, then I moved to Indianola, IA where I taught Special Education and 6th gr. Language Arts, and for the past 5 years I taught in the Education Department at Northwestern College. I am very excited and honored to be a part of the MOC-FV family! Special education and teaching are passions of mine. I also love being outside, watching sporting events, being crafty, playing board or card games, helping others, and most of all, being a mom and a Gigi. Go Dutch!!

I am a cook at the elementary school and LOVE my job. I have always loved to cook and enjoy seeing the kids daily. I live outside of Hospers on an acreage with my husband Jason who is a truck driver. We have three amazing kids a daughter Codi, and two sons, Cooper and Caden.

My name is Danielle Kleinhesselink, and I grew up in Hospers and attended Hospers Elementary. I earned my undergrad and graduate degrees from Morningside. I have taught 1st grade, but am now enjoying teaching Kindergarten. My little family includes my husband Logan, and our daughters Zoey and Wren. Outside of school I enjoy reading, cooking/baking, tractor pulling, gardening, and being outside.

I graduated from Northwestern. I currently live in Alton with my husband, Aaron, daughter, Lily (7), and son, Brody (4). We love having bonfires in the backyard, being active all summer, and playing golf.

My wife Nancy and I have three children. Our oldest Josh is the athletic director at Cherokee Schools, our other son Zach lives in Topeka Kansas with his wife Trisha and is employed by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation as a DNA specialist and our daughter Katie is a K-6 PE teacher and coach in the Belmond-Klemme school district. Nancy and I have 2 fox red labs to keep us company.

After graduating from Lawton-Bronson High School I attended Northwestern College where I began pursuing my degree in elementary education. My teaching career began in southern California where my wife and I lived for 5 years after we were married. I am now in my 25th year at MOC-Floyd Valley, and thoroughly love spending my days with 4th graders! My wife, Sherry, and I have kids: Kelsey, Karli, and Colin. Our 2 girls are college graduates and are out in the real world! Colin is a sophomore at NWC. I love relaxing and watching a good movie. Or when we’re feeling more adventurous, my family likes to travel. We love national parks, finding beautiful trails, and getting wet in waterfalls!

My name is Kayla List and my husband, Nick, and I live south of Granville with our children: Nora, Blaire, Sawyer, and Onyx. I graduated from SDSU in Brookings, SD with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education with a kindergarten endorsement in 2016, a K-8 reading endorsement from Morningside in 2017, and a Masters Degree in Developmental Reading from Dordt in 2023.

My name is Marissa Maassen and I am a second grade teacher. I absolutely love my job and couldn’t imagine doing anything else!! I grew up near Hull, Iowa where I loved playing volleyball, basketball, and softball. I am married to Aaron Maassen, and we live on an acreage 1 mile east of Maurice. My husband is part owner of Maassen Dairy near Maurice. We have four children who keep us very busy! Their names are Seth, Aric, Peyton, and Mariah. They are all in school, and we enjoy going to all of their activities. Some of my hobbies are reading, riding bike, and doing things with my family.

This is my 9th year of teaching but 5th at MOC-Floyd Valley. I previously taught TK at MOC-FV and have also taught Kindergarten and 1st grade in Sioux Center. I grew up in Sioux Center, Iowa and attended Northwestern College. I have lived in North Carolina, Alton, and now outside of Ireton on an acreage. My husband, Jeff, is a mechanic for AgriVision. We just had our first daughter, Josie, and have two dogs, Remington and Groot. Outside of school I enjoy shopping, cooking, boating, and spending time with family & friends.

I have a BA from Northwestern College and am married to Rob. We have 3 boys and 1 grandson. I love my pets and I have 4 dogs and 2 cats.

I live with my husband Mike and two children, Brayden and Mikayla, in Hospers. As a family we enjoy showing cows and goats at many fairs, mini-rod tractor pulling and fishing. In my free time I like to read, decorate and do flower gardening.

I grew up as a student at MOC-FV and attended NWC for nursing school, gaining my Bachelors in Science and Nursing in 2013. I’ve spent time in the ICU, public health, and community hospital setting before becoming the school nurse in 2015. I absolutely LOVE school nursing and the opportunities it gives me to get to know the students and staff and play a part in the health and safety at MOC-FV. I am blessed with a wonderful husband (Mr. Nonnemacher-6th grade social studies teacher at the MOC-FV Middle School) and 4 amazing boys who all attend MOC-FV schools! We love attending sporting events as a family, including our favorite sport, Dutch baseball.

I graduated from Northwestern College with a BA in Elementary Education along with an Early Childhood and a Coaching Endorsement. I also have an MA (Incorporating the Fine Arts and Multiple Intelligences Within Instruction) from Lesley University. I am blessed to be the mother of two beautiful and talented daughters who teach me to be a better person on a daily basis! I love spending time with family/friends, as well as exercising, watching sports, reading, writing poetry and baking.

After graduating from Northwestern in 2000, I went overseas to work and live for a couple years. After moving back to Orange City I began working for MOC-FV in 2007. During that time I have received my masters in Education from Morningside College as well as my Masters in School Counseling from Buena Vista.
In my spare time I enjoy camp fires, stargazing, walks, and road trips.

I am married to Paul and we have one son. I received my elementary education degree from Northwestern College. I enjoy reading, spending time with family and watching Northwestern College sports.

I reign from Paullina, Iowa just next door to MOC-Floyd Valley. I have been teaching for over 30 years and love what I do! I am married to my high school sweetheart and farmer Patrick. We have 3 kids. Taylor is a Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiology from Lincoln, NE; Kyle owns his own hard floor cleaning business and dabbles in farming; Derek is a Junior at South O’Brien and very active in sports. We enjoy farm life with our Aussie Maya and Cat Mojo. Family fun includes side by side rides in the pasture, fishing, hunting, and usually farmwork! I love teaching students and seeing so many bright encounters of curiosity open up. Go DUTCH!

I received my BA from Northwestern College and my MA from Morningside College. I’ve been an educator for 28 years, and I’m currently the Elementary MTSS Literacy Instructional Coach. I’m married to Mr. Puttmann (4th grade), and we have two grown children; Kaylee (married to Caleb Netten) and Kyle. I love spending time with my family, my dogs, and cheering on the Cyclones.

I received my BA from Northwestern College (1994) and my MA from Southwest Minnesota University (2005). I’ve taught 5th grade for my first 19 years and now I am currently teaching 4th grade. I’m married to Mrs. Puttmann (Literacy Instructional Coach), and we have two children. Kaylee Netten who is married and living in Omaha, and Kyle is a senior at Iowa State.

I graduated from Northwestern College with my BA in Elementary Education in 2003. I have taught preschool at Ireton Christian School, and now Kindergarten here at MOC-FV. I graduated with my MA in Teacher Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University, in 2018. My husband Andy, my daughter Josey, and I reside in Alton and we love to cheer for the Minnesota Vikings.

I received my BA in English with a Secondary Teaching Certificate from Northwestern College and attended Morningside College for my MA in Teaching with an ESL endorsement. My husband and I are from California. We have five children, Shannon, Caitlin, Sylvia, Arleen, and Aaron. I enjoy hockey games, walking our dog, cooking, traveling, and word searches.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Dakota State University in Madison, SD, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership degree from Southwest State University in Marshall, MN. I am married to Teresa, and we have four daughters (Noelle, Natalie, Natasha, & Nevaeh). I officiate football games in the fall and umpire baseball games in the summer. I can also be found cheering on the Minnesota Vikings (Skol Vikings), Minnesota Twins (Win Twins), and the Kansas Jayhawks (Rock Chalk Jayhawk).

I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with an Early Childhood and Elementary Education degree. My husband Ken and I have been married for 27 years and have 4 great children: Ashley, Kaylee, Cody and Anthony. We live on the Schmit century farm outside of Hospers. Family time, baking and time on the lake are a few of my favorite things!

I taught 2nd grade for 4 years and have now been teaching Kindergarten for over 26 years! Everyday is a new adventure in Kindergarten! Outside of school I enjoy baking, shopping, and spending time with my family.

I received my bachelor’s degree from NWC in 2006 and my master’s degree from Graceland University in 2013. My husband and I have three children and live on an acreage outside of Orange City. We enjoy taking care of plants and animals and anything else that has to do with the outdoors!

I graduated from Northwestern College and received my Master’s degree from Southwest Minnesota State University. My wife’s name is Diane, and we have two boys, Justin and Eli. In my spare time I am usually supporting our local teams or watching baseball. Go Cubs!

I have enjoyed being a secretary at MOC-FV for over 20 years. I started when my youngest was in pre-school, now I am blessed to greet my granddaughter each day! I live in Orange City with my husband, Galen and we have 3 married children and 3 beautiful grandchildren.

I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Northwestern College. I am also certified in the areas of early childhood, special education and reading interventions. I received my master’s degree from Graceland University in differentiated instruction. I live in Alton with my husband, Josh, and our four sons, Jacoby, Nolan, Brooks and Maddux.

I received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northern Iowa in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. Go Panthers!! I received my Masters in Differentiated Education from Graceland University! I live on a farm with my husband Carl and we have two grown daughters Amber and Josie. We also have a son in law, Michael. I love to spend time with my family, being outside and learning new things!

I grew up in Webster City and completed my Bachelor’s Degree (Reading, Spanish, & Coaching Endorsements) in Edication from Central College in 2010. I completed my Masters Degree from Northwestern College in 2016. I have been married to my husband, Korey, for 10 years and we have 2 daughters, Ellie and Cambria. We enjoy traveling as a family together. When I’m not teaching, you can find me reading, crafting, or spending time outside with my family.
