My husband Tony and I have three grown sons, 2 who are married: Tyler and Lizie, Kyle and Sarah, and Michael. We have a beautiful granddaughter, Raven. We love spending time with family. Jack Bonnecroy graduated from Northwestern College in 2012 with a degree in Computer Information Systems. After having previously worked at MOC-Floyd Valley in the technology department, he’s returned as the Communications Director. Outside of work, you can find him helping with the Pride of the Dutchmen Marching Band, crewing for the local hot air balloon, or helping out on the family farm.

I began teaching in 2019. I went back to school after 12+ years as a contractor doing construction and remodel work and received my bachelors degree in Industrial Technology Education. I live in Orange City with my wife, Tammy, who also works at the high school as a special education paraeducator. We have two kids, James and Emma, and a dog named Jasmine. When I’m not making things or teaching students, I love being outdoors hiking, camping, cycling, backpacking, mountain biking, climbing, and basically anything else that gets me out into nature. I am also a leader for our local scout troop.

I have worked at MOC-Floyd Valley High School since the fall of 2015, where I began as a paraeducator. I went back to school and graduated from Western Governors University in November 2024, and received my B.A. in K-12 Mild to Moderate Special Education and hold Instructional Strategist I (K-8 and 5-12) endorsements. I taught at MOC-FV Elementary School after I obtained my teaching license and taught there the rest of the 2024-2025 school year. I began teaching at the high school in the fall of 2025. I am currently pursuing my Instructional Strategist II (K-12) endorsement.

I grew up in Sioux Center and now live in Orange City with my husband, Adam, who teaches Industrial Technology. We have two children, James and Emma, and a dog, Jasmine. We love taking road trips and together have visited 29 different National Parks. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors-gardening, tent camping, and hiking and reading a good book.

Laura Haverdink earned a B.A. in music education and physical education with a coaching endorsement from Northwestern College. She and her husband, Greg, live in Orange City and have four children, Aaron, Caleb, Julia, and Jonathan and fourteen grandchildren that they love spending time with. Laura conducts the orchestra at the elementary, middle, and high school level. She has performed on violin and viola with the NW Iowa Symphony Orchestra, Cherokee Symphony, Celebration String Quartet (a group that she created to provide music at weddings and other special events), and her church praise team. She enjoys running 5K road races and making scotcheroo bars to share.

I grew up in northwest Iowa and graduated from Northwestern College in 2015 with a B.A. in Music Education. At MOC-Floyd Valley High School, I co-direct the Pride of the Dutchmen Marching Band, direct the 9th and 10th grade concert band, and direct Dutchmen Jazz I. I also teach our Dutchmen Jazz Lab, and spend time each week teaching middle school band lessons. Outside of school, I serve as an adjunct music professor at Northwestern College and teach private lessons at Dordt University. My wife, Rachel, and our four children are proud to be part of the MOC-Floyd Valley community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve its students and families in music.

I previously taught Spanish for 11 years at Valley Christian Schools in Cerritos, California, and four years at Sheldon High School. I reign from Paullina, Iowa just next door to MOC-Floyd Valley. I have been teaching for over 30 years and love what I do! I am married to my high school sweetheart and farmer Patrick. We have 3 kids. Taylor is a Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiology from Lincoln, NE; Kyle owns his own hard floor cleaning business and dabbles in farming; Derek is a Junior at South O’Brien and very active in sports. We enjoy farm life with our Aussie Maya and Cat Mojo. Family fun includes side by side rides in the pasture, fishing, hunting, and usually farmwork! I love teaching students and seeing so many bright encounters of curiosity open up. Go DUTCH!

I grew up on a farm south of Marcus and graduated from Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn. I earned my studio arts degree from Iowa State University and then added an art education degree from University of Northern Iowa. I started teaching in South Korea at two Christian International Schools. I taught K-8 art for my first 4 years in South Korea. I moved to Haiti to help a friend with art and community programs in the rural area of Mizak, Haiti. I lived there for 2 years and met my husband Daniel. We moved back to Iowa, where we lived and worked for 11 years. At the H-LP school I was the K-12 art teacher. I have 2 incredible kids, Adlynn and Micah. We enjoy being outdoors, traveling, baking, playing sports, and playing games. I am so excited to work with high school artists at MOC-FV!

I’m currently in my 31st year of teaching after spending time in the classrooms of Iowa Falls, West Sioux, South O’Brien, and now MOC-FV. I live in Sioux Center with my husband, Harv, who works at Western Christian High School. Our daughter, Sadie, is married to Nick Te Slaa, and she teaches high school biology and ELL biology at Sioux Center High School. Our son, Jacob, is married to Katlyn, and he teaches 5th grade history and writing at Sheldon Middle School. I am so blessed to be part of the Dutch family, and I look forward to working with your children in English I!

Mr. Stauffer is a part of the MOC-Floyd Valley family as a teacher, coach, volunteer, and fan. He is originally from Greene, Iowa, but now resides in Orange City with his lovely wife, Laura, and their children, William, Thomas, and Emily. Stauffer has received his BA and MA degrees from the University of Northern Iowa in the fields of Communication, Theatre Arts, and English education. Currently, he serves as MOC-Floyd Valley High School’s 11th grade Speech/English teacher as well as the head large group and individual events speech coach. He has served as a judge, district officer, and contest/All-State official for the Iowa High School Speech Association. Mr. Stauffer believes that speech and performance are two of the most worthwhile activities for developing self-confidence in young people. Other activities to which Stauffer volunteers his time include: announcing at or participating in various school-related functions, announcing at the Tulip Festival Mode Show, and crewing for a local hot air balloon “Up and Atom.”
