My name is Mrs. Aalbers. I grew up in Orange City and attended Orange City Elementary as a child. I graduated from Northwestern College in 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education and minors in coaching and reading. I received my Masters of Education from Morningside in 2012. I currently live in Alton with my husband Brent, and three sons: Ryder, Wyatt, and Jarrett.

My name is Mariah Bilby. I grew up in Cherokee, Iowa with my parents and one younger brother. After graduating high school, I came here to Northwestern College and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in Reading and Special Education. I taught first grade for three years before moving here. I live here in Orange City with my husband Micah. In my free time you might find me hanging out with my family, playing board games, singing, or reading a good book. I am so excited for my new adventure here at Orange City Elementary!

I graduated from Oostburg High School in Oostburg, Wisconsin before moving to northwest Iowa where I attended Northwestern College. In 2002 I graduated from NWC majoring in Elementary Education with endorsements in reading and special education. In 2014 I graduated from Morningside College with a Masters of Arts in Teaching degree. I had the privilege of being a substitute teacher for MOC-FV for two years before earning my position at Hospers Elementary in 2004. In 2010 I began teaching 4th grade at Orange City Elementary. Currently, I am a special education teacher in the Resource Room.
My husband, Joel, is a sixth grade teacher at Alton Middle School. We live in Orange City with our three children: Becca, Andrew, and Greta. We love spending our free time together as a family attending sporting events, taking trips to Wisconsin, shopping, biking, baking, and reading.

I graduated from Northwestern college in 2012 and also began coaching at MOC-FV the same year. I am married to Justin Boersma and we have three sons Juddson, Kolton, and Brayton. We live on a farm outside of Hospers. I love being involved in our volleyball programs in and out of season and spending time with my family.

I also completed my master’s degree in early childhood through the University of South Dakota. My husband, Daron, is a chiropractor in Orange City and we have a son, Aden, and a daughter, Ava. Outside of school I enjoy cooking, baking, traveling, photography, shopping, music, and spending time with family and friends.

I have been teaching part time 5th grade instrumental music at MOC Floyd Valley CSD since the fall of 1992. I am married and have 3 adult children.

I’ve been married to Keith, my best friend, for 5 years. Together, we have 5 children (Kolby, Kenadi, Kooper, Kipp, Kasee) a daughter-in-law (Brooke), and 2 grandchildren (Rheya and Roman). I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and earned my Master’s through Graceland University. My teaching career started in special education in Chariton, IA, then I moved to Indianola, IA where I taught Special Education and 6th gr. Language Arts, and for the past 5 years I taught in the Education Department at Northwestern College. I am very excited and honored to be a part of the MOC-FV family! Special education and teaching are passions of mine. I also love being outside, watching sporting events, being crafty, playing board or card games, helping others, and most of all, being a mom and a Gigi. Go Dutch!!

My name is Marissa Maassen and I am a second grade teacher at Orange City Elementary. I absolutely love my job and couldn’t imagine doing anything else!! I grew up near Hull, Iowa where I loved playing volleyball, basketball, and softball. I am married to Aaron Maassen, and we live on an acreage 1 mile east of Maurice. My husband is part owner of Maassen Dairy near Maurice. We have four children who keep us very busy! Their names are Seth, Aric, Peyton, and Mariah. They are all in school, and we enjoy going to all of their activities. Some of my hobbies are reading, riding bike, and doing things with my family.

I worked with Creative Living Center for four years as a therapist. During that time I also became a Registered Play Therapist. I love working with kids and providing them a space where they feel safe and can express themselves. When not at work, I enjoy spending time outside with my husband, our kids, and our two dogs.

I am a previous graduate of MOC-FV schools and attended NWC Nursing school to receive my RN, BSN. I’ve spent my nursing career in the ICU, public health, and our community hospital before becoming the school nurse for MOC-FV in 2015. My husband and best friend, Drew Nonnemacher, teaches 6th grade social studies at MOC-FV Middle School. Together we have four boys Jacoby, Elias, Beckett and Nikolas. We love the DUTCH and you will catch our family at multiple sports games including our FAVORITE, Dutchmen Baseball.

Kaylee (Netten) and her husband, Caleb, live in La Vista, Nebraska, and Kyle is a senior at Iowa State. I love spending time with my family, my dogs, and cheering on the Cyclones.
