High School

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education from Northwestern College and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Dordt College. I also officiate high school volleyball, and coach middle school basketball and high school softball. I have been teaching at MOC-Floyd Valley for over 25 years. I love to travel in the summer and see new parts of the country. I enjoy watching college football & basketball whenever possible – GO TAR HEELS!

I earned a BA in elementary education from Northwestern with endorsements in K-12 special ed and K-12 reading. I went on to get my Master’s from Morningside College. I’m married to Joel (HS English and Speech teacher). We live in Orange City with our 3 children.

Mr. Stauffer has been a part of the MOC-Floyd Valley family for the past 22 years. He is originally from Greene, Iowa, but now resides in Orange City with his lovely wife, Laura, and their children, William, Thomas, and Emily. Stauffer has received his BA and MA degrees from the University of Northern Iowa in the fields of Communication, Theatre Arts, and English education. Mr. Stauffer believes that speech and performance are two of the most worthwhile activities for developing self-confidence in young people. Other activities to which Stauffer volunteers his time include: announcing at or participating in various school-related functions, announcing at the Tulip Festival Mode Show, and crewing for a local hot air balloon “Up and Atom.”

I grew up in Morrison, Illinois where most of my family still lives. I graduated from Dordt University in 2015 with a Secondary Education and Mathematics degree and I graduated Northwestern College in 2019 with my masters in education. In addition to teaching, I coach football and teach Drivers Ed.

I earned my teaching degree from Morningside College in 1995, and I have been teaching ever since. I’m currently in my 19th year of teaching at MOC-FV after spending time in the classrooms of Iowa Falls, West Sioux, and South O’Brien. I live in Sioux Center with my husband, Harv and my children, Sadie and Jacob. Sadie is currently a freshman at USD majoring in Spanish education, and Jacob is a sophomore at Unity majoring in Fortnite. 🙂 I am so blessed to be part of the Dutch family, and I look forward to working with your children in English I!

I grew up in Marcus, Ia. I went to Buena Vista for 2 years and then transferred to UNI. I am married to Tom Rupp and we have 3 boys.
