Buse, Alicia
I love being a part of being MOC-FV High School. I have always dreamed of being a teacher and love my job. Seeing the student’s faces light up when they understand a concept is one of the best feelings of accomplishments for both of us. In my spare time I also work testing dairy milk and my hobbies include gardening and putting together puzzles. I am a huge Wizard of Oz fan.

I have worked at MOC-Floyd Valley High School since the fall of 2015, where I began as a paraeducator. I went back to school and graduated from Western Governors University in November 2024, and received my B.A. in K-12 Mild to Moderate Special Education and hold Instructional Strategist I (K-8 and 5-12) endorsements. I taught at MOC-FV Elementary School after I obtained my teaching license and taught there the rest of the 2024-2025 school year. I began teaching at the high school in the fall of 2025. I am currently pursuing my Instructional Strategist II (K-12) endorsement.
I grew up in Sioux Center and now live in Orange City with my husband, Adam, who teaches Industrial Technology. We have two children, James and Emma, and a dog, Jasmine. We love taking road trips and together have visited 29 different National Parks. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors-gardening, tent camping, and hiking and reading a good book.
