I grew up on a dairy farm near New Sharon, IA. I attended Wartburg College in Waverly, IA and received my master’s degree from Morningside College. My husband, Doug, and I enjoy flying our hot air balloon when the weather allows. I thoroughly enjoy opportunities to travel, hike, read, bake, and spend time with family and friends.
K-12 Technology Instructional Coach
Education: BA from South Dakota State University (Go Jacks!) in Preschool/Elem Ed; MA from Morningside in Tech Based Learning
I’ve been the K-12 tech instructional coach since 2014. I often refer to this as my “dream job” because it truly is! Prior to that I was a tech director for 16 years and enjoyed that as well. I like presenting at tech conferences and coordinating our local Tech Integrationist Group. I’ve served on several STEM committees and taught tech integration courses at the post secondary level.
When I’m not spending time as a “geek” I love to spoil grandkids, buy them the noisiest toys, feed them sugar and then send them (and their toys) back to their parents.
General Music Teacher K-8
I enjoy working with all of the MOC-FV students! I have a master’s degree in education from Augustana University in Sioux Falls. I began teaching in 1984. I have worked with students of all ages, from preschool through college.
Middle school special education
Currently working on my degree from WGU to become a middle school special education teacher. For now, I am a paraprofessional. I love what I do and looking forward to what’s next.
High School Band, Jazz Band, Middle School Lessons
I grew up in northwest Iowa, and graduated from Northwestern College in 2015, receiving my B.A. in Music Education. At the high school, I co-direct the Pride of the Dutchmen Marching band with Mr. Mangold, and teach our top jazz ensemble. I also teach middle school band lessons and direct the 7th and 8th grade jazz bands. My wife, a 4th grade teacher at Orange City Elementary, and I are both very proud to teach for MOC-Floyd Valley Schools!
6th Grade English
I’ve been teaching for 25 years, 18 of them for MOC-FV. I LOVE middle school students because they have a fresh energy every day. We, as teachers at the middle school, get to help form their identities during quite impressionable years.
Middle School Study Center and Paraprofessional
I was born and raised in Illinois and graduated from Northern Illinois University. I moved to Hospers in 1986 to teach Home Economics at Floyd Valley Jr/Sr High School, and my husband, Brian, was ordained pastor of the Hospers PCA church. We have three adult children, David, Kristin and Jonathan. While they were younger, I substitute taught for ten years, and I am currently in my tenth year working as a para and directing the Study Center at the Middle School.
Middle School Choir & Hospers Elementary Strings
Amanda Lemke graduated from Northwestern College in 2017 with a Music Education Degree. She is married to Drew Lemke, who teaches band at the middle school. They live in Orange City with their dog, Margie. Along with singing and playing music, she enjoys sewing, and acting in local theatre events.
Middle School Band
I spent the first 10 years of my life in Upstate New York, and ever since I have lived in Orange City, Iowa. I live with my wife Amanda (middle school choir) and our dog Margie. I graduated from Northwestern College in 2017 and have loved working at MOC- Floyd Valley ever since. Besides directing the middle school concert and marching bands, I enjoy assisting with our high school marching band every fall.

My husband, Chad, and I have three children. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, our horses and at the gym. I have my B.A. in Elementary Education from St. Andrews University in North Carolina. I am honored to be a Para for MOC-FV!
8th grade math, US History, 8th grade Volleyball
I graduated from Northwestern College with my degree in Actuarial Science, but decided to teach instead. Received my M.Ed from Morningside College. My wife Lynn and I have 4 children which keep us very busy, so I don’t get to golf or fish as much as I would like to, but some day I will have the time for it!
I graduated from Northwestern College with my Bachelors in Science and Nursing in 2013 and started as the school nurse for MOC-FV in 2016. I am married to Drew Nonnemacher (5th grade teacher at Hospers Elementary/ MOC-FV Varsity Baseball Coach) and we have 3 amazing boys, Jacoby, Elias and Beckett. We enjoy baseball, outside play, and movies as a family!
8th Grade English and American History
I’ve been at MOC-Floyd Valley since I graduated with my English and Secondary Education Degree from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. I earned my Masters’ Degree in Education from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN. My husband, Terry, and I have two sons. Terry co-owns Vollink Enterprises in Orange City. I also teach for both Morningside and Northwestern. In my spare time, I enjoy the lake cabin, family, cooking, and reading!
High School ELL and Spanish IV Instructor
I received my Bachelor Degree in Spanish from California Baptist University, my Secondary Teaching Degree from Northwestern College, and my Masters Degree in Education and ELL from Morningside College. I lived in both Costa Rica and Mexico, and have since spent time in several other countries. I enjoy traveling, social-networking, and lifelong learning!
Middle School Principal
Graduated from NWC and earned my masters from Iowa State University. Married to Anita and have four children, Carlin, Reed, Natalie and Tenley. Starting my 6th year as the Middle School principal at MOC-Floyd Valley. Previously served in administrative roles in the Garner-Hayfield and Atlantic school districts.
K-8 Literacy Instructional Coach
Hello! When I’m at Hospers Elementary, I’m “Mrs. T.G.” When I”m at the Middle School, I’m “The OTHER Mrs. T.G.” I’m the wife of Scott, the mother of Natalie and Kyle, and the daughter-in-law of Willard and Janice. While I grew up a city girl in Sioux Falls, I thoroughly enjoy life on the farm. I graduated from Northwestern with my bachelor’s degree in 1993 and then completed my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Dordt in 2007. I taught 2nd grade for 12 years and 5th grade for 8 years before changing roles to become the K-8 Literacy Coach in 2015. I also dabble a bit at the high school, working with the English teachers there occasionally. I’m an officer and active member of the local Northwest Iowa Reading Council, and I enjoy leading summer workshops, graduate classes, and presenting sessions for both literacy and technology conferences. My husband and I are big fans of Dutch athletics and enjoy Red Raider basketball as well.

I graduated from Northwestern College with a degree in Secondary Language Arts and went on to earn my Master’s Degree from Southwest State University. I am married to Todd TeGrotenhuis, and we have two sons, Justin and Eli. We love to attend all kinds of Dutch and Red Raider events in our community.
Elm & MS TAG and MS Exploratory Teacher
I graduated from Northwestern College with my teaching degree in 2006. I have been teaching ever since. My husband and I have three wonderful children. Education is a big part of our lives as my husband is also a teacher.
7th grade English teacher
My name is Linda Van Regenmorter, and I am entering my 27th year of teaching as I begin the 2018-19 school year. I earned my degree from Northwestern College. My family includes my husband Brad, son Mitchel, and daughter Alayna.
I am a nurse in both Hospers Elementary and the Middle School. I am married to Mark, who is currently away for the Air Force. We have three children; Landan(14), Ava(10) and Paxtan(4). I like to read and write. As a family we enjoy camping, off-roading in our jeep and playing cards or board games.
6th Grade Social Studies; 8th Grade American History
I grew up in Sheldon, Iowa and attended college at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN where I also played volleyball for three years. I graduated with degrees in both history and social studies education and began teaching at MOC-FV in 2015. I currently serve as an assistant coach for volleyball and softball.
7th grade Science ; 6-8 Science Curriculum Team Leader
I am Abby Vande Kieft, or Mrs. VK. I attended SDSU to receive my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Morningside College to receive a Biology 5-12 teaching certificate. I greatly enjoy teaching science to 7th graders as every day is a new and exciting adventure. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends at sporting events, horse shows, or relaxing on the lake.
7th Grade Literature & 7th/8th Secondary Reading
I received my AA degree from NCC and my BA from Northwestern. I am married to Chase Vermeer and we have one adorable puppy, Mater. We enjoy baking, camping, playing volleyball, and being with family and friends. We also enjoy cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
7th Grade Social Studies
I graduated from Northwestern College in 2008 and also received my master’s degree from Northwestern College in 2016. I enjoy spending time with my wife, Kari, and our three boys – Owen, Liam, and Miles. We enjoy being outside gardening, hunting, and fishing. In addition to teaching I also enjoy coaching middle school boys basketball and high school boys soccer.
